New work and re-decoration
We are fully experienced in both new work and in the re-decoration of existing work. If you’ve gone to the expense of having a new house built or an extension, it is important to have the final job of decorating done to a high standard, why skimp on the part of your project that everyone will see? Equally if you feel like giving your property a new look, we can provide all aspects of re-decoration, from removing wallpaper to hanging new doors. We can also offer friendly advice on colour schemes and types of paints. We are fully experienced in the use of Dulux and Farrow & Ball paints.
Interior and exterior
Whether it’s inside or outside, our experience and knowledge can help you achieve the look you want. For exterior walls we use either Sandtex or Dulux Weathershield masonry paints and for woodwork we use Dulux Weathershield, giving your property the best protection possible at affordable prices. However we are also happy to use any other quality brand that you may prefer.

Stain work and varnishing. Woodwork repairs such as rotten fascia boards, windows and doors. Plaster repairs. Water damaged ceilings and walls. Wall and floor tiling. Furniture decoration. Gutter cleaning. Sub-contracting.
About Us
Premier Painting and Decorating is a family run, friendly business based in Mere, Wiltshire. We have been established for over 10 years and have many repeat customers. We offer a high quality, professional service for both interior and exterior decorating.
In addition to interior and exterior decorating we are more than happy to undertake other areas of decorative and maintenance work that we are fully experienced in. These include:
Treatment and painting of stonework, wall tiling, woodwork repairs to windows, fascia boards etc. Door hanging and much more.

Our company policy is simple - we leave no job unless the customer is 100% happy with the end result. We work to very high standards - using only the highest quality products and taking the time and consideration that you and your property deserve.

We also offer an ‘out of hours’ service – providing our services at evenings or weekends. This means that your job requirements can be carried out at a time most convenient to you and your family or business. There are normally no additional charges for this service.

Our Team
RICHARD PESTER
Founded the Company over 10 years ago. He is City & Guilds qualified in all aspects of decorating. Starting out as a solo operator, Richard very soon built up a sound customer base and as a result soon found himself inundated with repeat customer requests along with new customers. Richard has lived in Mere, all of his life. He is a family man with two Son’s, Martin and Steven. Richard has also served as a retained Firefighter at Mere for the past 30 years, 23 of those years he has been running the station as the Station Officer. During this time he has gained considerable knowledge in working at height and health and safety, not to mention fire safety. Richard continues to grow the business and is very much still hands on as well as doing the admin side of the business. STEVEN PESTER
Steven left school and got an apprenticeship as a motorcycle mechanic, which he excelled at and was fully qualified working for a local garage in Gillingham. Steven decided on a career change and joined Premier Painting and Decorating in 2010, working along side his Father and was soon trained up to deliver the same high quality work the Company is known for. Steven is City & Guilds qualified as a carpenter and carries out all the Companies woodwork requirements, such as repairs to rotten timbers, door hanging etc. Steven followed in his Fathers footsteps and also joined the Fire Service as a retained Firefighter at Mere. Steven carries out his work in a very professional manner and has received many compliments for his expert woodwork repairs. He continues to develop his skills and is a very conscientious worker.
Jason
Jason has been in the decorating business for a number of years and is fully experienced in all aspects of the trade. Jason joined Premier Painting and Decorating 3 years ago and during this time has always received excellent feedback on his work and customer relations. Jason is married with a young family of 3 children and was raised in Shaftesbury, he now lives locally in East Knoyle. Jason is a very hard worker and delivers a high standard of decorating.
